About
Flavia Ercoli
Mindset & Performance Coach, founder of Flow Academy
For twenty years I worked surrounded by people: sales teams, colleagues, clients from all over the world. And the part of the job that lit me up most was seeing how far someone could go once they stopped holding themselves back. Pushing people who weren't living the working life they wanted slowly became the thing I wanted to do with my life.
When the time came to choose, I spent months on a seesaw. On one side, an executive career with a high, secure salary. On the other, what I had always wanted to do. In the end I walked into Decathlon, bought a backpack and set off alone for two months in Southeast Asia, to work out who I wanted to be when I grew up.
My passion is discovering how far the potential of a person, or a company, can go.
When I came back I trained as a coach with the ICF, the International Coaching Federation, in life coaching, business coaching and group coaching. I combined it with what I have been studying for years out of passion: applied psychology and neuroscience research, starting with the work of the Stanford University lab.
People who work with me say I get straight to the point. They often arrive confused and a little frustrated, feeling they are living their days on autopilot. It might be a freelancer full of doubts about going it alone, a CEO who needs to find common ground with the partners on a merger or acquisition, or on how to grow the company, or someone who realises after twenty years that they want to do something else. Together we figure out how their mind works, sometimes digging deep, and then we get down to specifics: the P&L, sales strategy, pricing, the decisions to make that week. The relational and emotional side is always there, and it stays anchored to the business: every step is specific and measured against results.
Outside sessions you'll find me on my motorbike (Valentino Rossi can sleep easy) or with rock music at full volume, from grunge to indie.
